Refund Policy

Refund & Return Policy

At Atomik Laser, we take great pride in the quality of our materials and our precision workmanship. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please review our policy below.
1. Custom-Made & Engraved Items
Items that have been custom-cut, engraved, or manufactured to your specific dimensions or design are non-refundable and cannot be returned for a change of mind.

  • We encourage you to double-check all spelling, dimensions, and design proofs before finalizing your order.

  • Once production has begun, we cannot cancel or refund custom orders.

2. Stock Materials (Plywood & Acrylic Sheets)
For raw materials purchased from our shop (e.g., standard sheets of Birch Plywood or Clear Acrylic):

  • Change of Mind: You may return unused, undamaged stock items within 14 days of purchase.

  • Condition: Items must be in their original condition. Plywood must be stored flat and dry; acrylic must still have its protective masking film intact.

  • Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee applies to all "change of mind" returns to cover handling and processing.

  • Shipping: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

3. Faulty or Damaged Items
Under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, if a product is faulty or does not match the description, we will meet our obligations to provide a remedy.

  • Manufacturing Faults: If there is a genuine error in our workmanship or a defect in the material that falls outside of "natural variations," we will offer a repair, replacement, or full refund.

  • Shipping Damage: If your order arrives damaged by the courier, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery. Please provide high-quality photos of the damaged packaging and the product. We will work with the courier to resolve this and send a replacement where possible.

4. Natural Variations (Disclaimer)
Please note that refunds will not be issued for:

  • Natural Wood Features: Variations in grain, minor knots, or slight color differences in timber and plywood.

  • Charring: Minor laser charring on the edges or back of wood products is a natural result of the laser cutting process and is not considered a fault.

  • Acrylic Thickness: Manufacturer tolerances (usually $\pm$ 10%) on sheet thickness are industry standard.

5. How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact Us: Email atomiklasernz@gmail.com with your order number and the reason for the request.

  2. Assessment: For faulty items, we may ask for photos or ask you to return the item to our Lower Hutt workshop for inspection.

  3. Processing: Once approved, refunds will be processed via your original payment method

Generally speaking, a Refund Policy often addresses these types of issues: the timeframe for asking for a refund; will the refund be full or partial; under which conditions will the customer receive a refund; and much, much more.
