Premium Okoume Hardwood Plywood 12mm thick

Introducing Okoume Hardwood Plywood, the gold standard for projects demanding an exceptional balance of low weight, superior strength, and beautiful appearance.

Sourced from the fast-growing African Okoume tree (often called African Mahogany), this plywood features a smooth, attractive veneer with a pinkish-brown to light-red hue and a fine, uniform grain.

It is highly favored in the marine and recreational vehicle industries for its weight-saving properties, but its elegant finish makes it a premium choice for high-end cabinetry, furniture, and interior design.

✨ Key Features & Benefits:

• Ultra-Lightweight: Approximately 10-15% lighter than standard marine hardwoods like Meranti, making it ideal for applications where weight is critical, such as racing boats, kayaks, RVs, and aircraft interiors.

• Superior Workability: Features a fine, consistent texture and grain that cuts cleanly, bends easily for curved designs (like boat hulls), and accepts epoxy, paint, stain, and varnish with a beautiful finish.

• High-Performance Core: Manufactured with multiple, uniform layers and a Water and Boil Proof (WBP) glue line for high dimensional stability and minimal risk of delamination or core voids (especially in Marine Grade options).

• Aesthetic Appeal: The natural, light pinkish-brown color and straight grain offer a warm, elegant look, perfect for decorative exposed surfaces.

• Marine Grade (Optional): When manufactured to standards like British Standard 1088 (BS1088) and often Lloyd's Register Type Approved, it is certified for use in rigorous wet environments (requires proper sealing/epoxy treatment).
